Applications for the 8-week summer REU program for undergraduate students hosted by Hampton University are now being accepted. REU students will work with mentors from the Department of Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, with support from its associated research center, the Center for Atmospheric Sciences.

Shuang Xu, Ph.D candidate student in the Department of Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, won 1st Prize in the Student Poster Competition in the Mesosphere-Lower Thermosphere (MLT) section of the Coupling, Energetics and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions (CEDAR) Program 2023 Workshop.
